On March 8th, two Engage board members will travel to Northern Ghana to visit our partner communities. We are very excited about this opportunity to visit the early childhood centers and to meet with students receiving educational scholarships. As part of this trip, professional photographer, Kaila Drayton, will be teaching photography skills to youth, teachers, and staff to enhance the capacity of our partners to document their programs.
Sharing local voices, empowering youth to tell their own stories, and documenting environmental conservation are priorities for Engage. You can learn more about our trip by reading our blogs, by following us on Facebook and on the photography project site.
Before our trip, we are working to collect school supplies and other items to deliver to our local partners. You can help by donating any product on our Amazon Wish List and by sharing our posts on Facebook. If you know of any community groups, businesses, or others who might like to make a donation, please let us know.
We look forward to sharing our trip and community programs with you this March.
