Engage Globally

Who we are

Picture

Engage Globally supports community-led sustainable development. Our primary programs are in rural Northern Ghana, where we collaborate with local leaders from six villages on early childhood education, youth scholarships, gender equity, vocational training, and sustainable farming projects. We also engage in environmental education in collaboration with community partners at the Children's Eternal Rainforest, in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

The Engage Globally team supports local leaders and community members to achieve their goals. By focusing on long-term partnerships we pursue a truly grassroots and collaborative approach to creating meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable progress.

Celebrating Tahama!

We are excited to announce the opening of our third learning center in rural Northern Ghana. Tahama, which means hope in the local language, Learning Center will provide an opportunity for 200 children, like Abiba, pictured left, to attend school for the first time. Abiba shared that she is excited to begin school because, "she wants to meet new friends." We are excited to celebrate hope with a new environmental education curriculum that is the first of its kind in the region. Tahama promotes sustainability and food security with  a large garden, outdoor classroom, kitchen with food storage, solar power, and rainwater catchment. Students will receive a daily school lunch, school uniforms, learning supplies and participate in exciting educational activities like tree planting.

Support our Education Fund

Help inspire hope by donating to our Education Fund. Our Board matching fund of $10,000 will double your impact! Your contribution will fund education of over 600 children, youth, and women including cultural, environmental, and vocational programs.

All of our programs support food security, environmental conservation, gender equity and community empowerment. Our community-led approach provides comprehensive and quality programming that expand both learning and economic opportunities. In communities that live below the global poverty line of $1.90 a day, your donation makes a significant impact!
