naledi, education team
Naledi was born in Vancouver and raised in Prince George, where she is attending the University of Northern British Columbia. She is a fourth-year joint English and Environmental and Sustainability Studies student. She is concerned with issues surrounding inequality, social justice, and climate change. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career that intertwines her passion for teaching and sustainability. Additionally, Naledi hopes to increase the environmental focused programs and projects in her community. In her free time, Naledi enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.

nash, education team
Nash attends Saint Mary’s College of California where he is an Honors Student majoring in Global and Regional Studies on Social Justice Studies with a minor in Theology and Religious Studies. He is actively engaged in International Club, Native American and Indigenous Student Association, Green Gaels, Phi Kappa Phi, and works as a Social Justice Advocate for the SMC Intercultural Center. He has volunteered with many community organizations, provided educational tutoring, and is involved with social justice and environmental issues. Nash enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending cultural festivals, and traveling. He hopes to promote activism in sustainability and social justice around the world.

hannah, education team
Hannah is a rising senior pursuing a degree in Environmental Geoscience and a minor in Youth Development at Texas A&M University. She is involved in Cru, peatland research, and she has had the opportunity to work at a nature camp. Hannah is passionate about working with kids and hopes to make a positive impact on youth and the world through environmental education. She also enjoys journaling, bouldering, and spending time with friends.

izabella, communication team
Izabella is a junior majoring in international relations with a focus on environmental sustainability and global health at American University in DC. She has previously interned with Engage Globally in summer of 2021 as a communications intern and team leader. During the school year, she was part of Nourish AU's leadership team with a focus on communications. In her free time she can be found traveling and playing with her dogs.

corey, communications team
Corey is a rising senior at American University majoring in International Studies, concentrating in Environmental Sustainability & Global Health, with a minor in Media Communications. After graduation, I plan to pursue a masters in Environmental Policy where I hope to one-day draft international climate change policies. Outside of academics, I'm a member of Peace Jam's American University chapter, a volunteer at Common Sense for Animal's animal shelter, and enjoy snowboarding and traveling.

giancarlo, education team
Giancarlo attends American University where he is majoring in International Relations with a focus on sustainable international development and minoring in French. He recently completed a semester abroad at Sciences Po – Lille, in France. While in DC, Giancarlo works at a student run coffee shop at AU and is also actively engaged with the community service office. Previously, Giancarlo has worked as a tutor and team lead in DC Public Schools with DC Reads and is looking forward to a career in international education advocacy. In his free time, Giancarlo likes to spend time with friends, especially outdoors, and travel to new places to explore and meet new people from across the globe.

Rachel recently graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University (CSBSJU), with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies. Rachel was actively engaged with her school's documentary team, Extending the Link, and with her on-campus job as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Teaching Assistant. Rachel has worked with Engage Globally on fundraising and communication projects in the past, and she looks forward to learning more about the non-profit sector this summer, before hopefully serving in an urban forestry Americorps position next year. Rachel also enjoys reading novels, visiting national parks, and listening to music with friends.
